A NOTE FROM PETE & TONY

I was on the phone with a customer yesterday about this, that, or the other. I think I called him to see if he fat-fingered his order with us by ordering three pairs of our Ankara jeans. He said "no" and that he was happy to see this old standard blue jean fit that was still made in the U.S. He also said that this fit was hard to find and that most denim companies making great jeans here are focusing on slimmer cuts for "young dudes" as he put it. I did not necessarily agree with him but the fact of the matter is that a proper straight leg fit just works. It did 100 years ago and it still does today. You may only wear skinny stuff but I swear, try this old fit out again and see why it is the five pocket jean that brought this whole denim party to the dance in the first place.

Cheers,

    The Jeans You Need

Posted by Justin Holmes on 20th Oct 2021

These are hands down the best pair of jeans I’ve ever purchased and I’ve had my share of denim. I’m an athletic build, 6’3” 210, and these jeans actually run like a true straight leg should. There is enough room in the thigh for those of us who’s thighs are wider than our ankles. I can actually get these jeans on and have plenty of room in the seat. Love the weight and excited to see how these wear over time. Thanks again Tellason, you now have a life long customer.

Definitely one of the nicest jeans I've ever worn. I can tell they are going to last a longtime. Amazing craftsmanship and detail. I'm in love with the fabric as well, it seems to be the perfect weight. The fit is great. Super stoked, thanks!

    New Japanese Denim

Posted by Bill on 15th May 2021

As much as I hate to see the end of Cone Mills, I’m very happy to report that the replacement, a denim designed by Tellason themselves, is a really great approximation of classic vintage US denims. I’m about three washes in with my new Ankara’s and really very pleased.

Good folk at Tellason guided me to the perfect fit and had the jeans at my doorstep in Sydney in under a week. Fantastic quality jeans and I love the straight leg style. Looking forward to seeing how these jeans develop additional character over the years to come.

The fit is just perfect I love it. The heft and quality of the Jean material is second to none. I cannot say enough good things and there is no negative I can say. Just buy a pair and you will see.

Jeans are awesome. Fit names are a little complicated...I know nothing about denim or this industry so take this with salt. I wanted American made and simple looks which these are but was really disappointed the denim is from Japanese mills? This maybe be highest quality and in demand but either way disappointing. There may not be a mill in America left..IDK. I almost returned because I am unsure if the cotton even came from America in first place? But the fact that the manufacturing is here is better than 99% of other brands and craftsmanship is very nice.
