About to sound like an old goat here but, back when Tony and I were kids, whatever shorts you had were once a pair of pants.
No one went "short" shopping because there were no shorts out there other than a swim suit or these really gnarly, angry, tight, polyester coach shorts made to hug your bunz while you yell at your players who are not trying hard enough.
Our job, as the warm weather drew near, was to essentially wear out a pair of pants at the knee so Mom could grab the scissors to make that cut just above the hole. It took about a minute and bam, you got your shorts for the summer.
Big Tony and I are the same age, and without a doubt, that cutoff era represented being outside, building jumps and skate ramps, hustling some change to lock down that combo coke/cherry Slurpee, and maybe even throw in a rock fight with the neighborhood kids. These were good days, all of them.
We wore cutoffs and decades later, we are happy to bring these back into the fold.

Excellent quality and fit! Attention to detail is top notch and the the thoughtful design recreating pants purchased at the surplus store and cut off in the days of their youth is great. Takes me back myself... tear. Now go buy some!
