A note from Tony & Pete...

Our love for great jeans goes back to the mid 70's when our moms threw us in the car (no seat belt), popped the transmission in reverse and headed to our local men's and boy's shop for some back to school shopping. 100% of the time, this started with a walk over to the denim wall to figure out what size we need to buy in the 501 shrink to fit jean and whether we were still a "slim" kid, a "student" kid or a "husky" kid. Once the guesswork was done, the excitement grew as we ripped off the perforated side tab with the size stamped on it and sent it through the first wash in hopes of it actually fitting post wash.

Those memories will last forever and we were lucky to be a kid when all of this was going down. Fast forward to the 90's. This love for good denim remained and now we were well past the "slim" kid fit and came across a beautiful selvedge fabric from Japan that had the warmth of an old pair of jeans and the hand crafted feel that seemed like it was made by candlelight, not under four foot fluorescent tubes. The brown weft was the key to this fabric -- very natural feeling as if it was soaked in tea with subtle irregularities that can only come from a process that had no concern for a speedy delivery.

We found this recently from Kaihara and consider it a privilege to make a run with it in our Elgin mid-rise slim tapered leg fit.

Enjoy,
Tony and Pete

    Lookout for Captain Crunch

Of all of the raw denim I’ve purchased, these are by far the crispiest out of the box. So clean; these have a nice grayish/cadet hue that’s sure to pop and wash in a rich blue after break-in. The rigid feel to these are substantial, but comfortable to wear after one day. Definitely worth the investment. Can’t wait to see how these will hold up.

4th pair in 6 years. I rotate them daily. You won’t fine more attention to detail and better craftsmanship. Order them.

    Absolutely Exceptional

If you are thinking of buying these, just do yourself a favor and do it! Unfortunately the pictures don't do these justice at all of how clean the selvedge is on these. Super smooth but you can just tell they can take a beating! This is my third pair of Tellasons and first non White Oak pair and honestly these might feel better.....which I know sounds like blasphemy to some. The denim reminds me of Nudie's selvedge which to me is some of the cleanest denim out there. I will be waking up in the morning with a smile on my face knowing these will be on my legs all day for a long time!
