Shout out to the one and only Jeff Yokoyama, aka "Yoki".
This legend was, and still is, the most interesting surf designer to ever pick up a pair of scissors. Back in the very early 80's, he started Maui & Sons and we gobbled it up. His signature fabric was Madras, which was preppy but his take was anti snobbery and 100% surf stoke. I have never forgotten his take on this fabric and think of those times now, 45 years later as we build our gear to sell to you.
We just received two new summer shirts and want to offer these Madras beauties to you as our “Items of the Week”. Stocked up and ready to go, so cheers to Yoki and thanks for that early inspiration back in the day!
