  I already have a pair of Blubaugh 16.5 oz jeans which although are a little snug around my thighs, I really like still the same. I purchased the Ankara for the additional thigh space, and i have to say, i am not disappointed. These jeans fit really well off the bat, and i am more than happy to break them in and make them my own. They are such well made jean, that ooze quality and class. As the world is dead set on blowing each other up. I am secure in the fact that i can face whatever the future throws at me, in my pair of Ankara 16.5oz jeans. Peace and love to all.

  These jeans instantly became my favorite pair as soon as I put them on. The thickness of the denim was a little frightening at first but after two days of wear they softened right up to a perfect fit.

  This is my third pair of Ankara straight leg The 16 ounce was a big surprise for me because of the stiffness of the jeans it took me a while to get the jeans on but the quality of the Japanese Savage jeans are great. I got these mainly for riding my motorcycle.

  Love the fit and fabric. Initially when out them on the pockets seems big but as you wear and they mold to your body it actually becomes a nice style. Def will buy another pair in a different color/fabric. The fact it’s made in US from Japanese fabric is a cherry on top

  It’s tough finding selvedge jeans if you squat 3x/week IYKYK. However, I can say that Ankaras are the best I’ve found yet. These are the only Tellason jeans that fit me but they fit great and if you like the straight leg look then go for it. I’m 5’7” tall and weigh 165# and the size 31” waist fits me perfectly. They definitely need a hem but I’ll be sending them in for the free service (TY Tellason!).

  Only had these jeans a week but the quality is great. A couple of years ago I bought the JGM's, and last year a pair of the Stock Straight. Really dig those and wanted to try the heavier 16.5 selvedge Ankara's. I can already tell they are going to be my everyday jeans for a long time to come. I like Pete and Tony's story and like to support guys like this and love all their products.

  These are the best pair of jeans I’ve ever purchased in my life. The fit out of the box was perfect size wise, and the comfort improved with each wearing. The weight is heavy enough that I expect excellent durability. The craftsmanship is flawless. I think I may never buy another brand of jeans.

  A nice man in a nice shop in the nice town of Petaluma is responsible for Tellason entering my awareness. This happened many years ago and it all began with a pair of Ankaras. I can’t think of a better start to building trust with this company. Honestly, EVERYTHING I have ever purchased from them has met but more often exceeded my expectations across the board. But I will never forget that it all started with an Ankara. Specifics, yeah I could get into those… fit and durability, style, etc… all glowing reviews here in those departments but I’m all too self aware that I am a paint covered garbage pail kid approaching middle age with weird legs from decades of skateboarding and cycling so my read may be as skewed as my right ankle and left knee or even moreso. In closing, Ankaras… you’re going to appreciate them for sure no matter what point on the spectrum of garbage pail to respectable professional you fall.
