I’ve been wearing the jacket for a few weeks. It’s fantastic! Great fit. Nice trim look. 5’10 180-185 athletic build. Size large fits perfectly. Lots of compliments. Still breaking it in. I’m sure it’s going to get even better like my Tellason jeans.
I stumbled across Tellason two years ago while watching a Todd Blubaugh episode on YouTube. This lead me to buy a pair of Ankara jeans. I now own three pairs of Tellason jeans and a few jackets. The quality and cut are excellent and the jeans and jackets just get better with age regarding comfort and look. My new Black Japanese Jean Jacket is just starting that journey, but straight out of the box I can see that it has the Tellason DNA that will reward a lifetime of hard use. Also living in Australia I have been impressed by how quickly my purchases have arrived.
I have three years of hard wear on this jacket and have yet to damage it. It doesn’t have so much as loose thread yet. It is a perfect weight, the cut is great, and it really becomes your jacket after some wear. I can’t recommend it enough.

At 5'10", 146lbs I wasn't sure which size to go for (small or medium). I went with small and it was a really nice, snug fit that's I'm super happy with. The Japanese selvedge fabric was stiff and beautiful and is already conforming to me. All of the seams are perfect. In a perfect world all of the loose threads would have been trimmed at the factory, but no big deal. I'm a very happy customer and I'm looking now I want a pair of Tellason denim pants in the same material if I can just figure out the fits. Thanks!

Amazing craftsmanship and quality that is built to take on whatever your day throws at you. Crispy right out of the box, breaking in nicely. Hefty enough to feel invincible but not too heavy that a little warm weather deters you from wearing it. All in all, best purchase for a coat I’ve ever made.
I feel so cool in this jacket it’s almost embarrasing, and I’m going to wear it until it hangs off me in tatters — which will take some time, considering how well built it its. The fit, the fabric, the construction, it’s all as good as I hoped for, or better. I’m 193cm/92kg (6ft4in/202pounds), and Tony recommended an XL (after a swift and friendly back-and-forth) — it fits me perfectly with room for layering and movement. So yeah, super happy customer here.
