I've had my eyes on this jacket for a few months and I finally pulled the trigger. It was between this and Iron Heart, but this jacket is more appropriate my needs. I was a little worried when it hadn't ship after a few days. However, Pete called me personally to apologize. He let me know what was going on and that he had packed it and shipped it out that same day. That's quality customer service that I can get behind. I did not mean to be impatient, I just wanted to rock this thing so bad! That jacket itself is the finest quality jacket I have ever owned. This thing is TOUGH and looks much better in person. I am 5'8", 170 lbs., with a 40 in. chest and I went with a medium. It is a little snug under the arm pits when layering because of the thick inner lining. If that bothers you or if you have wider than average shoulders for your size, you may want to size up. For me, a medium is perfect. I love everything about the fit and finish of this jacket. From the classic silhouette to the beefy zipper and the sound it makes when I pick up the jacket, to the natural patina of the buttons, and the stiff yet supple feeling of the black denim exterior. This jacket feels made to last a lifetime. My only regret about this jacket is not purchasing it sooner.

This jacket has become my favorite. I've been wearing a heavy waxed canvas wool-lined jacket that wasn't keeping me warm enough and this N1 has replaced that. I wear a Large in the Tellason denim jacket and I went with a Medium N1. It's a bit snug in the pits when I'm wearing a tee+long sleeve, but it shouldn't be a big deal once it's broken in because this jacket is stiff 14oz denim. I was going for a fitted look as I only planned on wearing this jacket over a t-shirt as this jacket could be be too warm for layering in my climate. I also love the collar on this N1. I can pop the collar up and throw my motorcycle helmet comfortably while keeping my neck covered. Walking around in mid 40s is no problem and might even be okay in the high 20s. And remember, this is denim that will fade with wear! Get one!

Wanted to share appreciation for the Blubaugh N1 Deck Jacket. This is my second New York City winter with it and I find myself reaching for it more and more. I love the big pockets and that I never have to wrestle with the zipper - it just always works. We're at around 35 degrees today and it's great with a sweater. For reference: I'm 5'7", 170 and the Medium is perfect.

I watched a YouTube review of this jacket and instantly ordered it! It’s exactly what I didn’t know I needed. I was surprised at how little time it took to get across the border into Canada and to be delivered. Once I opened it and put it on, I knew I’d made the right decision. The salvage material is absolutely stunning and is perfect for a jacket like this, combining the Jean type jacket with an N1. I will admit the buttons were very stiff when I first undid them and I’ve done it a couple of times since they’re softening up nicely and making it much easier to get in and out of the jacket although I’m not sure I’ll always fasten them. The fit is excellent. It’s perfect size in the shoulders a little bit bigger in my gut, but I like the extra room where I could put on a layer if I need it. One thing I want to mention is the amazing responsive customer service I’ve got from the company Wright from purchase time. I accidentally clicked on the green colour instead of the black and still not sure how I did it, but it was corrected almost immediately by customer service and I was very appreciative. Customer service is an oxymoron with many companies these days, but not with Tellsson. I’m looking forward to many years of comfortable winter wear in this jacket.

I bought the black denim N1 deck jacket from Tellason and couldn’t be happier. This is the third thing I have bought from them and they haven’t let me down yet, in fact they have always managed to surpass expectations. The jacket fits as expected (I wear a M in their Topper Chambray and a L in their Lined Coverall) so I ordered a Large in the N1 and It fits amazingly. It fits fantastic with just a tee underneath, but just as well with a hoodie/sweatshirt. I haven’t been able to properly test the jacket yet, but based on how warm I felt with it on while trying it on in my house I can say it’s going to fare just fine when the Colorado winter shows itself. I really like the black denim on the outside and can’t wait to see what it looks like in the years to come. The quilted sleeves make it super easy to take on and off while making sure your sweatshirt sleeve don’t ride up in the process. It looks fantastic too, I was on the fence about purchasing this jacket for a while, but I’m glad I finally pulled the trigger cause I couldn’t be happier.

You know those bomb-proof Wrangler Sherling jackets from the 1970s and 1980s? The ones that are still kicking around to this day?  Well, imagine a better fitting, nicer denim, modern jacket like that, but in black denim, with a zipper! That's what this is. A staple. Heirloom. Solid fitting, classic silhouette. I'm 6'2" and 190 lbs with broad shoulders, and I chose the XL. It's perfect. I can wear a flannel under it, too. The collar rests below my jawline and keeps my neck warm. Lots of room for mobility (I ride my bicycle in it.) And best of all, like those Wrangler jackets that are 40-50 years old, this will last just as long.

I had been eyeing the Tellason deck jacket for some time, but had some hesitations about sizing. Now that I've got it I'm very happy with it, but there a few minor things I'd tweak if I could. The size charts (specifically the chest measurements) had me thinking that I needed to go down from my normal Tellason XL shirt size. I ended up ordering the XL and it's perfect. Go by that more than the numbers due to the insulation. I used to live in the upper midwest and had repro deck jacket with alpaca lining. I currently live in the Southeast and that's just overkill. I love the deck jacket look, but I needed something less extreme that I could use more often. The Tellason deck jacket fits that need perfectly. +/- less extreme warmth than other deck jackets (whether that's a + or - depends on where you live. +oversized, double sided YKK zipper +great fit +inner storm cuffs in sleeve -pocket bags are identical to Tellason jeans. They're super sturdy, but on a winter jacket I'd have preferred some kind of softer lining -I wish the collar was a little larger, and more in line with a typical deck jacket. When you flip it up there's a gap at the front of the collar that I don't love
