Clampdown work shirt. 100% cotton raw 5.5 oz. Japanese chambray. Cut and sewn in San Francisco.
When it came time to design our second shirt eight or nine years ago (Topper was first), we wanted to put together a proper work shirt. Of course, Clampdown was a natural as the name of the shirt. The Clampdown shirt has two large pockets to carry pens, knives, kazoos, string cheese, bottle openers, screwdrivers, etc. We've always worn ours untucked before that was even a thing. In the past we've made the Clampdown in raw selvedge denim, various colors of heavyweight canvas and a few different plaids. Now we have it in a beautiful 5.5 oz Japanese chambray. This version has white thread and buttons. So when you start wearing blue and brown and you're working for the Clampdown, we recommend our chambray Clampdown for the blue part of your wardrobe.
The color is spot on and the Japanese Chambray fabric has some tooth but is breathable. Great texture and of course great fit. Could be my favorite Tellason shirt of all time and I own many. Classic and timeless. This fabric is special. You need one I promise!
