A NOTE FROM PETE & TONY

Every time we get an order for the John Graham Mellor jean, we get a little pat on the back, metaphorically speaking. It was the very first jean we ever made and the second fit did not come around for 2 more years.

That was 15 years ago and I can't help to think about other products we all use that just stand the test of time. Maybe someone at the WD-40 plant has the same feeling, if they are really into that magical can of lubricant. People buy it, use it plenty and when it runs out, you try to get another can on your next run to the hardware store.

Our John Graham Mellor slim straight jean is our version of an iconic fit, that would look solid for decades to come. This 16.5 oz. selvedge fabric is our heaviest (and my favorite) so get ready to break them in the old fashioned way - wear them a ton and don't baby them in the slightest. What you will get down the road will be a real gem of a pair of jeans with all the battle scars of your own life, not the path of a misdirected Dremel tool or block of sandpaper from a washing house.

Stocked up and ready.

Enjoy the ride and thanks for your support,

    Superb finishing

Superb finish. Japanese denim is very beautiful. The best cut for my body. I've heard of a 19Oz ... if that's true, I can't wait to see that. Thank Tellason

    Highest quality, great service

The fit on these jeans is incredible, and if you're familiar with raw denim, these are certainly the highest quality whether you end up with American or Japanese denim. Even after several washes (sometimes you really have to wash them...) over years of use, these maintain their dye and fit perfectly. I suggest sitting these in a cold-water bathtub for an hour when you first get them. Alterations process is simple and very well-done.

    High Quality

I have a few other pairs of Tellason Jeans in various weights. I decided to pick up a pair of 16.5oz and have mostly worn them while riding so far. They are heavy enough to keep me warm on a crisp morning but still comfortable to wear all day

    3rd pair of Tellason’s

Posted by Ralph on 14th Oct 2019

This is my second pair of JGM. The fit is considered a slim straight but the Great thing is that the jeans are not slim tight. The ones I received the denim material is from Japan. It is a different shade then the White Oak Cone denim from my Sheffield’s but I like the look of the indigo just as well. The jeans are of superior quality and I like the feel and weight of the 16oz. The company has very good customer service and get back to you right away. The free shipping and returns are a plus since I do feel the jean sizes are irregular and one 35 did not fit like another 35. They also offer a free hem which I’ve used in the past. The only minor detail was that I had to send the jeans back for a re-hem this time since one leg was left longer than the other. I can notice the previous stitch line on the material after the repair but I guess is not that bad.

Bought my first pair in 2009, and haven't looked back

I bought my first pair of Teleson jeans in 2009 at UnionMade in San Francisco -- back when Telleson had only one style -- and it didn't even have a name, but is what became the JGM. Tony and Pete were in the store, but I opted not to meet them, not realizing this would be my jean of choice for the next ten years (and hopefully more). I'm the type of loyal consumer ,who will buy the same thing over and over again, until something goes wrong. Like Levi's 501's -- they changed the cut, but not the number, and they no longer fit the same. I forget what I was wearing in the late aughts, but I tried on the Telleson jeans. They fit perfect, and they cut hasn't changed one bit. A year ago I bought the lighter weight 12.5 oz, and was pleasantly surprised. I'm trying out the new 10.5 oz. now. I love breaking in my own jeans from raw denim, I wash them only when absolutely necessary, and I hope Telleson never goes out of business!

    Best Jeans Ever!

Posted by Tim White on 27th Mar 2019

I’m an old dude pushing fifty. Since I was in high school I was a Levi’s 501 guy. I knew what size to get, how to wash them, wear the bejesus out of them, and just before they were done - cutoffs. Then they stopped making them in the US. The quality went down hill and the fit varied from the Haitian made to the Mexican. I started paying real dough for the historic reissues. Too fancy and quality not worth the money. I heard good things about Tellason but being old, I question hipsters making “quality” boutiquey stuff. I want consistency, sustainability, and no fussiness. I bought a used pair of Tellasons in my size used off eBay for cheap. Already the best jeans I’ve worn in years - great fit, top notch quality. So I stepped up to some new ones in the thickest denim I could get so they’d last, and in the cut named after Joe Strummer. Ordering was simple, they came fast with no bullshit, we are the fanciest and best, marketing. They will last, fit, wear well, they are more environmentally responsible than other jeans. I’m sold! Stick around for another fifty years, I’ll try to as well, and I’ll Keep happily wearing them. Thank you!

    My favorite Jeans

Bought this same pair again since I wasn’t sure how much longer the 16.5 oz cone denim would be in stock. This fabric is awesome and I think the JGM cut is perfect. These jeans fade really well too. Honestly my favorite jeans.

    Bargain?

Posted by Dan S on 20th Mar 2018

It is a stretch to say a $230.00 pair of jeans is a bargain but I bought 2 pair of Tellason in 2012. I wore those jeans 6 days a week for almost five years. These jeans last. I tried another US made brand for half the price and they did not last a year. Look $230 is a lot to pay for jeans, but if made in the USA means something to you and you are looking for a quality product that lasts, these are your jeans. I just bought two more pair. See you again in 2023 Tellason.
