My mom remarried back when I was in the 6th grade. She and her new beau were great together and still are solid 50 years later.
Doug was the quintessential bachelor that fell in love with my single mom with two kids. He was a stud athlete and was mistaken for Tom Selleck of Magnum PI on more than one occasion. His dad, Dale, was a bit nervous but so kind to my sister and me.
We would visit and the dude was up asking us what type of nut we wanted. Cashews, peanuts, almonds, walnuts - Dale had them all and was proud of his assortment. He was also keeping Sansabelt slacks in business. He had them in a ton of colors and kept about $7 in change in each of the pockets. He would rattle that change around like a dinner bell 24/7 and we loved every second of it!
Shout out to Dale. My man, you were cooler than you knew and we appreciated you taking our family in. I don't think he had the legs to roll out in shorts too often but I believe he would have been drawn to our shorts for the pure pocket game alone. Especially the Easy Short with its robust pocket game and elastic waist.
We made three shorts for Summer 2025 and now is the time we would like to offer them up as our "Items of the Week". We kept the vintage military styling in all of them with our Fatigue Short, our Ghurka Short and our Easy Short.
