Ten years ago, We had a few fits in the stable with ambition to have a few more, in due time. We form our opinions, we get some feedback from people who know denim and are not afraid to share their viewpoints, and we pull the trigger when the time is right and head over to Pam's place to get a pattern started.
I was in Boston then, participating in an open to to the public event put on by Boston's own, Ball and Buck store. The venue was an incredible old brick warehouse, which basically describes a lot of that old city. Anyway, I was there to sell some pants. One dude stepped up to my fold out table full of jeans and spoke about what he wanted in a jean. Now, we are in "hockey country" so it seemed like every man around spoke about their love for hockey and had the legs and bunz to prove their commitment to their sport. They were also in need to have a tapered leg on a fit that suited their burly thighs to show off their new leather Alden boot or whatever. I tried to get them into our Ankara straight leg fit but you can tell that they were bothered by the straight leg effect of extra fabric below the knee.
The event was over, I sold some jeans and thought how many more I could have sold if we had a jean like the Ankara but with a tapered finish at the bottom. That was enough of a message for Tony and I to get going on our newest fit back in 2011- The Sheffield- mid rise, straight tapered jean. See, we listen once in a while...

Woua l aute t as vu la dégaine que tu te paye avec ce jeans c est d'la balle, j'vais faire des jalminces. C est exactement c'que j ai dit à Bob qu'était en train de massacrer le flipper.
Great fit and look, definitely built to last.
Amazing craftsmanship! Will last a LONG time!
These are the pants I wear.
This is the second pair of Telason jeans I have purchased. The first were from a shop in Sydney Australia with limited styles and sizes . Buying on line and direct has enabled me to choose a style, denim weight and size that best suit and fit! Extremely happy with the jeans- I know I'll be back!
Superb product. I love the feel of the raw Cone Mills Denim when I first put the jeans on for the first time and of course thereafter. I believe the quality is unsurpassed. I like buying USA made products. The higher price for the jeans is justified because premium denim is costly and I'm helping support higher wage American jobs. I plan on buying all my future jeans from Tellason. Thank you. Peter Van Atta
Great product. The quality, in construction and material, is absolutely top flight. Unfortunately, it did not fit my body measurements. If you have thighs larger than 25" in circumference at the widest point, these jeans will probably not fit you.
These are the nicest jeans I've owned. You can't help but notice the quality when you get the chance to inspect the product. I haven't had the chance to break them in yet, but after a few days of wear they stretched a bit and began to conform to my body (I ended up with a pair 1" up in size from my vanity waist size and 1" down from my true waist size). I'm 5'9" about 200lbs. I tried the ankara and the legs were far too big for me. The Sheffield leg tapered to a perfect fit. They're long, but I knew I would have to get them hemmed anyway. Easy to talk to the folks that work there and have them direct you to the right fit. Easy to handle returns if the first pair doesn't fit. They had a great turn around to get my next pair out as well. Highly recommend the company.
I am 40 years old and was looking for another pair of raw denim. I went with the 14oz since I already owned a pair of 17 oz. I also live in Miami so the weather is pretty hot year around. The Jeans are of Great Quality. If you are looking for a classic fit made in the USA with a bit of taper these are the jeans for you. I was also impressed with the Great Customer Service. After a hot soak I sent them back to Tellason for the hem service and got them back pretty quick. I've been wearing them now for about a week and they are breaking in perfectly. Thanks Again Guys.
