The construction and fit are beautiful but not being able to order the proper length is a deterrent to ordering another pair. I'm 5'11 and I wear a size 33 waist, but when the jeans arrived they were hemmed at an absurdly length. Rolling them up just looked silly. So I spent $20 to send them back across the country to be hemmed. I'm not sure why a jean of this waist size can't have a more reasonable length. And when you take 6 inches off of a tapered jean, you mess with the taper.
Wore these for the first time two nights ago at an outdoor dance party in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I wasn’t restricted at all during many different movements! Somersaults, handstands, moving, and grooving. Very happy with these jeans. Cuffed them a bit and love the look. Thank you tellason! These are built to last. If you listen to the dead you may recall a verse “you can take a lot of wrecking, but you can’t take it all” these jeans may be able to take it all.
I just received my Sheffield 16.5's Straight Tapers this evening and wow what a great bit of denim. I'm no gym rat, but certainly no twiggy leg skinny jeans guy but this cut fits like a glove. Beautiful fabric and depth of Indigo color, I expect these things will take some break in time and energy, but even after a few hours of wear they're softening up nicely. Tellason has paid great attention to detail, from stitching to heavy front pocket material and plenty of pocket room better than some other makers at almost twice the cost. This is my first purchase from Tellason, and I'll happily support this American company again. Thanks, you guys... Whooee!
This is my second pair of Sheffields and my second ever pair of raw denim but my first in this weight. I love it! It's only had a few wears so far but I can already tell they'll be my favorite once worn in.

i have tried over a dozen of US made selvedge jeans and nothing beats this one. I was extremely happy with the Anakara but these are even better. Was a little worried because usually not prefer tapered jeans. I got these on sale, my Ankara's are 14.5 oz and i really wanted to get a 16 oz pair so I took a leap of faith. The taper is super subtle and actually feels great. Recommend getting maybe 0.5" longer inseam than usual for a double cuff, the selvedge ID on the Kaihara fabric is insane good =)
Even though this is heavy weight 16.5 oz, this jeans is very soft touch.
This is an outstanding pair of denim jeans! Buy them, you won't regret it.
There are a few things in your life that you really love. These jeans are one of those. You cannot compare them to others. Simply the best.
