Check out our "Item of the Week". On sale through Friday at midnight.

Tellason Stock

We realize that not everyone cares about antique shuttle looms and selvedge denim. We would like to think that most men do care about the country of origin when it comes to blue jeans. To that end, we are offering Tellason Stock -- made in San Francisco, California from 14 oz. non-selvedge sanforized Cone Mills denim.

The main difference between Tellason and Tellason Stock is the fact that our Tellason Stock fabric is made on a modern machine rather than vintage shuttle looms.  Simply put, this beautiful fabric we use for Tellason Stock cost less than our customized selvedge fabrics, and it is our intention to pass the savings on to our customers.

Tellason Stock is available in two jean fits and two denim jackets-

Jeans:

  • Slim Tapered
  • Straight Leg

Jackets:

  • Coverall
  • Classic Jean Jacket

Driver's Ed was incredible. 1980 was the year. The class was a semester long and we spent half the time in a clunky "simulator" and half the time behind the wheel. The instructor (JV football coach, Mr. Lung) sat in the passenger seat armed with what could only be described as an emergency brake pedal. A pedal he used on more than one occasion.

There we were, driving around town with various levels of comfort, trying not to roust our friends that were straddling the white line. Coach Lung had a history of high intensity so pushing his buttons was not something you would choose to do.

In the classroom, the simulators were a low back, vinyl car seat, one of those big old steering wheels that would have cut you in half if you hit a tree, and a big screen simulating a drive around town. There would be some kid chasing a ball into the street or a paperboy crossing an intersection to throw us off. But, my favorite distraction on the video was a passenger offering the driver a stick of gum. The view was you driving with a piece of gum right up on your grill, blocking your site, just as a motorcyclist was crossing the intersection. We were graded on our reflexes so you had to be quick to the brake pedal!

Our "Item of the Week" has very little to do with this tale, other than the fact that this Elgin jean of ours would be a great choice for the motorcyclist crossing that intersection in our training video. It has a medium rise which will help keep the backside covered, with a tapered leg that will flap less when facing a 70 mph headwind.

We are stocked up and happy to offer this to you as our “Item of the Week”. Yours with a 20% discount.

Cheers ya'll,
