If there is one fabric just about everyone understands, it would be chambray. Well, flannel might have something to say about that but let's pretend chambray is king for a moment...

Ours hails from Japan and cut and sewn in San Francisco, just like our jeans. This one is our "Topper" model- one part western, another part workwear with the design details. Tony and I come across compelling fabrics now and then and plugging said fabrics into this style of shirt seems a bit automatic since it was our first shirt we ever designed 10 years ago.

No one has ever said, "hey, update your Topper shirt", so there is zero motivation to lean away from our first born. Kind of like cooking in your best iron skillet. Just keep throwing in your good proteins and veg in there and turn up the flame.

The fabric, construction, and fit of this shirt all are excellent. I'm 6'2" 180lbs, so I need a trim shirt and the Topper in Large fits perfectly. I'll be wearing this shirt for years.
