Like all Tellason gear, it’s tough, it’s cool, and the minute you put it on it’s yours and yours alone.
I've been on the hunt for a good American Made selvedge jacket for a while now, and most of the brands I've encountered cater to smaller frames. Tellason's offering however has more room in the shoulders and arms for guys with athletic builds without drowning the midsection in fabric. For reference, I am 5'10'', 44'' chest, 19'' across shoulders, 29'' waist, 31'' hips, and the XL fits very nicely. Just enough room that I can use my arms without discomfort with fairly snug arm cuts. Other brands I've worked with (3sixteen, Rogue Territory, etc.) tend to bind in the shoulders or end up being FAR too long in the body for someone less than 6' tall. This take on the Type 3 is amazing. Comfortable proportions without looking boxy, and is priced very well. The denim quality is high, with good rigidity and very nice stitch details. I'll be regularly wearing this from now on. If you have an athletic build, (broad shoulders and muscular), you'll love this stuff, its not just for the slimmer guys! I had rapid email responses from Tony about sizing and even got a hand-signed thank you note upon delivery. I love being able to support American brands that pay attention to quality materials sourced from good origins (Japan). I'll be back for the stock denim jacket and the coverall jacket for sure!
