I'm a welder. I've owned two pairs of 34's (Elgin 16.5oz, the best fit jean across the board, worth breaking in). I hit 50 and had to bump up to 36 waist : ) My broken in 34's fit my son like a glove, his favorite jeans. They survived my wear and tear and are now a generational piece. I have always had difficulty finding jeans that fit properly. Took a chance on these and cannot believe how good they look and feel. The material and construction of the garment are top quality.
I’m a dad. I don’t workout enough, not enough cardio. You know - 5’10” and I stopped weighing myself at 210. 35s were perfect, after a bad guess. Comfortable “out of the box.” Pete was also super accommodating and responsive. Gave me a call to ask how my fit could be better on exchange. Couldn’t be happier.

I really like Tellason jeans, the fit is well crafted (for me anyway) the stitching is well done, the fabric is really nice but it does take a while to break in, I bought some of these in their 12.5oz denim too and will start them soon when the weather warms up but the color is great. I wear both the regular taper and these slim taper and both fit well. I really like the fact that they make the pockets larger than other jean makers, the pocket fabric is heavy, and reinforced at the bottom. I currently own selvage jeans form 3 makers and to me Tellason are the best of the three.
Finally pulled the trigger on a pair of jeans and I am not disappointed. Glad I went with the Elgin -- there's plenty of room in these to feel comfortable, but the cut is also stylish. The tapered legs are perfect. Been wearing them for about a week now and they are starting to soften up. I'm hooked!
My first Tellason jeans purchase were the Ladbroke Grove in 14.75 oz, which I love. The Elgin is the same fit except about 1.5" longer in the top block which is really useful for added roominess and bike errands. Love the fit and the heavier 16.5 weight.
