I have memories of my father wearing "denim" fatigue pants in the 1970s. I put the word denim in quotations because now that I have spent half of my life in the denim world, I'm not so sure his lightweight, oddly light blue and somewhat furry pants were actually made of denim.
Despite their questionable fabrication, his fatigues sure looked cool with his made in Lumberton, North Carolina Chuck Taylors.
