Jean jacket made from a Japanese red line proprietary selvedge 13.5 oz. denim.  Interior and side pockets.  Made in San Francisco, Calif. USA

A NOTE FROM PETE & TONY

I own one suit. It is black and fantastic and made by Sir Paul Smith. I enjoy wearing it, no doubt, but when you boil it all down, I am a denim guy, not a suit guy.

At the risk of getting yelled at for being underdressed by someone's grandma, who had a bad day when they realized that her Apple Genius Bar appointment was never confirmed, this black jacket may be a nice replacement.

For example, spilling anything on a good suit can really put a bicycle pump in your front wheel on the night, but dripping some chili dip or a chunk of chevre on something denim will barely move the stress needle.

So have a look at this dapper classic denim jacket and enjoy it!

    Do you like decadent things?

Posted by Jake on 24th Jun 2023

If you're a fancy boy like me and like the fanciest things, you just may just want to snag this right now. Like RIGHT now. Just do it, and don't be afraid; this baby will treat you right, I guarantee it. Sure, your friends might feel threatened by your newfound coolness at first, and potentially forever. But when you're riding on top of the world in this absolute stallion of a garment, I think you'll agree that the cost was worth it. For reals, though, fit and finish are impeccable, style is just what I wanted, true to size. What are you waiting for?

Sturdy denim coat w ample break in time

Posted by Kay L on 24th Jun 2023

Got a size M, bit tight in the chest area (5' 10", 175lbs). Sleeve length is right at wrist. Would welcome a size up next time for layering, else it is a great toss over a tee. Definitely a quality sturdy coat - sizeable side pockets, detail is superb, collar holds up. Keen to keep working on this coat to get the details in

    Amazing Jacket

Posted by Eric Vandeveld on 24th Jun 2023

The fit of this jacket and the quality of the materials is top notch. Just what you'd expect from a Tellason product. In a world of cheap clothing that falls apart in a year, it's refreshing to find clothing so well made that you'll likely pass it down to your kids someday.

    Black Denim Jacket

6ft 6in, skinny/athletic build Amazing jacket overall. Can't wait until it fully breaks in. The arms are perfect length for me despite my 6'7" wingspan and the large is a good fit that will allow for some layering when it's cold. 10/10 would buy again.

Can't wait to break it in.

Kept sleeping on this, as the last couple years have been hard. When it came up on discount as "Item of the Week" I finally bit. It's a keeper like my other tellason jackets. Tony has fleas.

Done Buying Clothing Unless Its USA Made

I want to give this 5 stars right out of the box for quality, fit, and customer service. I also got the 16.5 oz in indigo and I will do a better review on both of them later when they're broken in. I also want to make a point to address fit for other people who dont know what size to get. Most will say to size down from your shirt size for an authentic denim jacket fit. I disagree. I am 5'11", 200lbs, 44" chest, 34" waist. Based on the other comments I initially ordered a Large. It fits ok at the waist and shoulder for a trim look but the fit wasnt my style. I ended up going with an XXL and its perfect. Alittle looser fit and way more comfortable. I can wear it over a hoodie. I wear XL in most shirts.

    My first Selvedge piece

Posted by John on 31st Dec 2022

I bought the Stock Coverall and wanted to do an exchange in person in a different size, and Tony was absolutely great to chat with! While there, I asked to see the black selvedge version of the jacket and my partner loved it on me and ended up buying it for me as well. Bothe the stock and selvedge versions are amazing and extremely high quality, and I always get compliments from friends and strangers when I wear them. Side note: I needed to size up from a S to a M, as I have a broader shoulder and chest area for my height (5’6” 155 lbs athletic build).
