The Tellason Stock Slim Tapered jeans are made in San Francisco, California from 14 oz. non-selvedge sanforized Cone Mills denim. Our Slim Tapered fit has a low-to-mid front rise and "normal" back rise with a button-fly and the bottom of the back pockets are lined for durability. Post try-on hemming info here.
A note from Tony Patella and Pete Searson (Tellason)
Our first two years of Tellason consisted of us getting out there selling one style (John Graham Mellor Slim Straight Fit) to a handful of shops around the world who loved good denim as much as we did. No big "collection" here, just one item that was built the right way and fit just about anyone who tried it on.
Lucky us, the boys at Tenue de NImes liked what we were doing and quickly developed a reputation as one of the top denim shops in Europe. About one year in with them, Tony met up with Rene and Menno in NYC and noticed something odd with Rene's beat up Tellason jeans. He is a stylish dude so anything would look good on him but in this case, Tony noticed that he had his John Graham Mellor Slim Straight jeans tapered at the bottom. Apparently, half of those Dutch guys who bought our jeans took them to a tailor to do the same. At that point, it was a quick decision to create our second fit (Ladbroke Grove Slim Tapered Fit). Maybe we should have called it the Rene but in keeping with our subtle Clash undertones, Ladbroke Grove (1:02 mark) got the nod.
To say this has been our best selling fit would be completely accurate so it was an easy choice to let this slim tapered beauty be one of our two fits in our Tellason Stock program.
Quality and fit are superb. These are the non-selvedge stock versions of the Ladbroke. Thought I'd try before I go for the fancy ones. I will now go for the fancy ones. Best jeans I own. Tapered but will still fit over engineer boots. Thanks!
These jeans seem great to me so far. The fit seems like what I expected and I will be excited to see how the fade progresses; I've only had them for a week or so.
Have the “stock” jeans a try first and will definitely step it up next time. The perfect jeans.
I purchased these as my first pair of Tellason jeans and really my first raw jeans and they are amazing. I liked them so much that I have already ordered a pair of 14.75 oz selvedge jeans from Tellason. Amazing quality and an amazing company.
Great quality denim at a reasonable price. Need to get them hemmed or roll with the rolled up look. Just a bit slimmer than I was expecting but I love them.
I love these pants. Just bought my first pair, been wearing them for about 2 weeks now. They fit like a cross over pants from skinny to straight leg. Love the color and feel. Can’t wait to get some wear and fades on these.
The Jean looks nice and the cut is perfect. However, I’m unable to use it as it transfers the dye too much and it has stained my car and clothes. I washed it three times and still transfers a lot of due.
Typical Tellason quality, best cone mill jeans raw denim, just like my other straight leg Tellason stick, only a little more figure-hugging. Thanks Pete, thanks Tony for an excellent job. Danke Euch Beiden für hervorragende Arbeiten in Eurem kleinen, exzellenten Unternehmen, macht weiter so. Michael aus Berlin
The Tellason slim tapered fit may be a great fit to try even for those who assume slim fits aren’t for them. This is a good cross between a slim fit and a traditional straight leg. With a subtle amount of taper. Without a doubt this is a better version of fit for me than the 501 ever was. Especially with the detail la and button fly. The Cone Mills non-selvage is almost the same denim used in the classic 501 stf (just heavier), with the same famous all-American blue color that Cone is known for. It’s a bluer indigo than the Kaihara Japanese selvage Tellason uses for its selvage line. And Cone denim always promises to give great vintage fades. These come with all the amazing Tellason details - you just save on the fabric price. I especially like the white tag. I’m looking forward to having these in rotation.
