"Straight leg" is a term that is easily understood when it comes to jeans fit descriptions. Our Ankara straight leg is a "true" straight leg -- from the thigh to bottom opening is a straight line. It is a mid-rise jean with some room throughout but by no means "dad jean".

Why is this fit named "Ankara"? Because this guy was born there!

Made with beautiful red line black/black 13.5 oz selvedge denim from Japan in San Francisco, California -- The Home of Blue Jeans.

I love these jeans. They fit so well that they are my go to all-time favorite. Tom has been phenomenal in Tellason's support. Continued loyal customer.

I’m not normally a denim guy, but you guys have changed my mind. First I got a jacket, then these jeans, I’m hooked. Great quality and a great fit.

    Black Jeans

I have a really difficult time finding jeans that fit my thighs - and long legs. I originally ordered the 38s but they were a bit too tight. The 40s were GREAT! For big guys with thighs, its great to find a jean that allows you to have a nice fit, without wearing super baggy jeans. Definitely will buy these again.

Nice style, great fabric. Looks nice, great quality. 6"2 175lbs athletic build with small waist and larger buttocks and thighs. Size 30 snug but opens up nicely with each wear.

    Black on black

Pre-pandemic, it was 34 Ladbroke Grove. Two years plus in, and it's a 36 Ankara. Full-rise, straight leg comfort with room to move. Black Japanese tight-weave denim is of the highest quality. Could wear them out to a show with black wing-tips, and they'd be slick, but who goes out; they look just as good with work boots—perfect jeans for working outside and staying away from people. Like them, eyeing the 18.5-ounce blue for winter, I don't see spending much time out in public anytime soon.

Do you want pants or do you want bullshit? If it’s the former, buy Tellason. If it’s the latter, there’s lots of options out there for you. It’s really that simple.

I’ve really fallen in love with this company. I’ve owned a couple of raw denim pairs by them a few years ago and decided to grab a couple of more this year. Tony and Pete are top notch guys, and are truly professionals at what they do. I’ve probably bugged them about every purchase I’ve made, whether it be fit inquiries or a hem request, they’re quick to respond, and they’re also complete gentlemen about it. I own a blanket lined raw denim jacket, their BDU ripstop jacket, and of course, raw denim jeans. All of the products have been superb. I usually get all my jeans hemmed to a 32 inseam, so I’m able to cuff how I like, and this time around, by mistake, they hemmed two pairs of the black Ankara’s, offering me the second pair for $80 (totally worry free if I didn’t want them). I wouldn’t typically stock up like that, but I couldn’t pass that price up. All in all, support this company. It’s an intimate experience. These guys care, and it truly shows. Thanks again Tony and Pete! Customer for life.
