I wore it for the first time last night to a dinner, instead of a dress shirt. An older gentleman in his 80s noticed it and, as he was leaving, complimented me on it. I love the stiffness of the fabric and can’t wait to see how it breaks in over time. The buttons struck me as slightly oversized at first, but the overall construction seems carefully designed to accommodate some shrinkage after the first wash. That level of attention to detail is what sets Tellason apart for me. I haven’t seen the same degree of craftsmanship in any other American-made denim brand.
I bought this recently and really like it: the material is great and the it is well finished. I am 6'2", 170 and wear a Large. It fits great in the shoulders and sleeves (I'm about a 35"), and the body fits like a custom-tailored shirt. My only suggestion would be adding collar stays. Thank you!
I like this shirt so much I bought it twice after my first one burned in the Eaton fire. The materials and construction are spot on resulting in a piece that gets better with wear and washings. It is a solid piece of gear - plus you can count on the guys to answer any questions you have about fit. I'm 6' and 170 lbs and I wear a medium.
Tellason nails the assignment with a perfect chambray work shirt. You can wear this literally anywhere, goes with almost anything, looks sharp with the white stitching, feels great on; and if there’s something wrong with your order, you may just get a call from Pete himself. A+ grades all around for Tellason.
I’ve been through too many chambray shirts to count- Japanese, American, designer…you name it. This is hands down the best chambray shirt I’ve found. The fit and length are perfect, the material is the ideal weight, and the details are classic without being overdone. Some shirts overdo it with long runoff stitching, too many pockets with no function, long collar tabs, and then some just look like a denim oxford. This has all the vintage touches and functionality to remind you that it’s a real work shirt, but the clean style that you can wear on a date. They’re not cheap, but given the U.S. manufacturing and level of quality it’s honestly a bargain. This is an investment piece that you’ll wear constantly. Tellason knew the assignment.
Beautiful shirt! The fit is perfect, and the material has a nice medium weight to it, great for all seasons. The specific chambray has a wonderful depth of texture, some of the surface has a vibrant thread that seems to ride on top of the base sky blue. I’ve already put this shirt to work on job sites and couldn’t be happier to wear the hell out of it. I highly recommend this shirt, or any other product for that matter, from Tellaso. Fantastic service and very high quality clothing that will stand the test of time.
Shirt looks and feels great. Buttons are a nice quality too. One thing: the white stitching stands out more in real life than in these photos, so just be aware if that would be a concern for you. The chest pockets are prominent too, but maybe less so for taller people. My only complaint is that the Tellason shirts seem to be made for taller people. I'm 5'8" and the size M is a bit long in the back. The shirt looks better tucked in. I wish there could be similar sizing in the shoulders and chest, but slightly shorter arms/back length to fit the rest of us.
Great quality as expected and classic design. Fit is true to size. I like a trim fit and medium was perfect (I’m 6 foot 180 lbs). Some times I size down to a small because shirts are too boxy but this fits just right.
