I recently purchased these Elgin 14.75 oz jeans in size 33 after owning two pairs of Blubaugh (16.5 oz and 13.5 oz) with the same size. From reading the fit charts, the Elgin have a tad more room in the thigh with a narrower leg opening than the Blubaugh. I wanted to try these Elgin as a slimmer look (maybe a bit more professional?). The fit is great for my frame, and is a little more comfortable around my hips with that extra room. I have not hemmed the jeans yet, so am curious how narrow they will feel and look once I do not have the wide Japanese cuff which I have employed now. I will say that I wish there was a slightly wider leg opening available between the Elgin and Blubaugh (14.25 vs 16.25 in size 33). Maybe a 15in or so would just have a little more room to not look too slim, but also not be baggy at all. Overall, I like the feel and color of the 14.75 oz red line selvedge, which I have not previously purchased. I have only ever purchased selvedge denim from Tellason, but I keep returning due to the high quality, amazing customer service, and the fair pricing. I expect all my Tellason clothing to last for many years to come.
