Work shirt made from rope-dyed 7.5 oz fabric. Made in San Francisco, Calif. USA
A note from Tony & Pete
People ask the question, if you can only listen to one album on a deserted island, what would it be? The answer swings wide, depending on your upbringing but even though you may get the shivers with some of the answers, you still wait for the response, ready to pounce...
Switch an album with a shirt and our answer is clear- take the Topper Denim Shirt with you. It is the first shirt we ever designed. It is the best selling shirt we have ever made. It is the shirt that let us get into the clothing game that involved anything above the waist.
Our original intention was to make this with a heavy dose of workwear with an equal amount of western sensibility. The weight is perfect to us and the fit will not let you down. Tony had the last say about the pockets just before we finished with our pattern maker and he made sure that the pencil holder on the chest pocket favored left handed writers, which I am not.
Either way, righties can reach it well enough so consider this your next shirt.
This is a really great quality shit that looks and fits amazing, With proper care it will definitely last for years…. I’m about 5’9”-10”, ~170lbs, a 40 in blazers, and a medium fit perfectly.
The design and quality of this shirt are superb. Sleeve length is generous; perfect. However!-the body and sleeves are WAY TOO TIGHT! Also, the shirt length is about 3" TOO SHORT. If I were still in high school, it would be fine. I usually take an XL, but ordered one size up just for extra room and STILL TOO TIGHT. I imagine a 3X would work but largest size is 2X. These shirts are not cheap, so beware folks!
what a nice shirt ! photos dont do it justice. XL was the ideal fit for me...perfect for the Canadian tuxedo look, i fit right in at the tim hortons parking lot!!!
I'm 5'10" 185 and athletic, 33" waist. Large fits perfect. No baggy and not too tight so as to be restrictive.
Great quality material and sewing. Runs small. I am 5'10" and 170 pounds and by no means an XL but that's what I am wearing. That said, I am not a denim obsessive: I wanted to be able to beat the tar out of this shirt and throw it in the washer and dryer like I did growing up with US made 501s. However even with minimal shrinkage due to this being sanforized it fits just right. The large would have been too small. These also seem quite narrow at the points of the shoulders.
My 6th Tellason piece. Everything has been said about this shirt. It is a great looking and feeling shirt. Not flashy, not fashionable but excellent quality, just enough workwear looking and attention to details. I apologise for the carbon dioxide related to the shipment from San Francisco to a country in Europe. I will continue to be a vegetarian as compensation. I do not mind.
Well made and light weight, perfect for the workshop or layering! The guys at Tellason have delivered again!
I love everything about the shirt (fit, fabric weight, pockets etc), except the length. The front of the shirt is several inches shorter than the back of the shirt. If it was the same length all the way around it would be 5 stars.
i have been eyeing this shirt for quite some time now, while being insanely skeptical about the hype that was going on about it in both social media and site reviews. This BF I bit the bullet and got one for myself. Guess what the hype is real. Can everything be perfect in a shirt? yes it can and this is it. Perfect fit, amazing fabric. everything just feels right on this shirt.
