Leather patch by Tanner Goods, Portland, OR. Graduated inseams from 32.75" to 35". If you require a hem, please contact us directly after receiving your jeans. Made in San Francisco, Calif. USA
After trying a variety of jeans and fits from other companies, I tried the Tellason Gustave fit. It was everything I was after and more. I was looking for a close fit with a tapered leg with room to move and no pinch in the junk. This is the fit for me! I liked it so much I purchased another pair in black.
The fit on these is fantastic - slim, but not skinny. Can be dressed up or down. Look great cuffed. For a relatively lighter weight denim, they still feel bulletproof. Just superb all round.
You won’t find better made American selvage jeans. And I love supporting this small company and it’s great owners.
I’m kicking myself for waiting so long to come back to Tellason. But the wait was worth it. While it was sad to lose Cone Mills US denim, Tellason has chosen an amazing mill and cloth to replace it: Kaihara. I’m a big fan of the mill, and I can tell already that this fabric developed by Tellason with Kaihara is a serious winner: crisp, dark, and guaranteed to fade beautifully. Also the Gustave cut: I’ve been searching forever for a slim but comfortable fit with a strong taper. Few denim labels do a cut like this. And I’ve finally found it with the Gustave. It’s unique, and feels like it was custom made for me. As always, the Tellason details and quality are 100%: subtle and traditional which respects the classic 5-pocket jeans but makes them uniquely theirs. And I’m a denimhead, so I hate any detail that seems gimmicky. Tellason honors American tradition. Well done Tellason, these are as good as I remember. I’m definitely buying a few more pair.

Very nice jeans!
Absolutely incredible denim right here. I have gone through quite the denim journey to end up here. Nudies, Naked and Famous, etc but now I'm into American Made. The guys at Tellason are just incredible people and when you buy these you know you are supporting an amazing american company. The denim itself is phenomenal and they just have small details that you know will make them last forever. I have the same pair in 14.75 oz (which are also incredible) and this denim is overall lighter in color than the other ozs. Not too light though, just a perfect shade of indigo. Seriously just buy these. You'll sell almost every other pair of jeans you own when you do. That's what I did.
I bought my first pair of Gustaves, found I was pulling them out of the closest way too often, and wound up buying another pair a couple months later to spread the wear and tear around. I just love these jeans. They fit perfectly and they're exceedingly well-made. I expect with some common-sense care they'll last a good long time and will get better and better. Add in the super easy ordering and quick delivery and these are well worth the investment.
My second pair of Tellason jeans and my favorite pair of jeans ever. 6 months + of wear with one soak so far. My first Tellasons are a pair Ladbroke Grove 14.75 Oz. whilst I love these they are little on the heavy / warm side for a Brit to wear in sweltering Singapore where the temperature rarely drops below the high 20s C (80F). The 12.5 oz is a more equatorially friendly. Being tall and slim I opted for Gustaves for my second purchase. I had contemplated getting these first time round yet as the slimmest Tellason fit I had shied away from them for fear of them looking sprayed on. I need not have worried. These are a great fitting pair of slim (not tight) jeans that wear beautifully. I recently bought a black 13.5 oz pair too which i'm finding are manageable in the heat and humidity. Perhaps it's time to man up and put the Ladbrook Groves back into rotation.
