A note from Tony and Pete...
Our "Gustave" fit was 100% created by our friend, confidant, and captain everything, Mr. Brian Awitan. He had a pair that he doctored up with the help of a tailor that did not look or fit like anything that we had in our quiver- an average to low rise, ample thigh room, then a pretty heavy taper from the knee down. I suppose we should have called this the "Awitan" but looking back, he was neck deep with another terrific denim company and the owners may not have been too pleased with our project with Brian. Life is short. Work with your friends and make things that matter...
I am a raw denim enthusiast, I own denim from several of the big brands and discovered Tellason about a year ago. It started with their coverall jacket. After receiving my jacket, I knew I needed a pair of their jeans so I grabbed a pair of the raw indigo in the Ladbrook Grove fit. The fit is excrement and the color is breaking in incredibly but I wanted something that fit me just a touch slimmer through the calves. I'm 5'11 and about 170 with an athletic but lean build. This is THE fit for me. The jeans look like they were made for my body with just enough room to move around freely. The build quality is second to none and I've worn them every day since I received them. They are already my favorite jeans and I look forward to really breaking them in.
I am really pleased with my jeans. I bought the 16.5 ounce denim and they are definitely built to last. The taper is steep, which I like. They are slightly lower rise than I have worn in the past, but this doesn't detract. Although stiff (as you would expect), they are surprisingly comfortable to wear. For the moment, I am just wearing them around the house. Will do this for a few weeks before wearing out. I had the hem altered before delivery. Customer service was great and the alterations done quickly. A very happy customer!
You just can’t go wrong with Kaihara Mills denim. And Tellason have picked a good one- the denim is subtle, smooth, crisp, and promises great classic fades, especially in a denim world increasingly filled with too much heavy, slubby denim . The Gustave cut is my favorite and I’m looking forward to their evolution. I think the cut will work really well with the 16.5oz denim.
The best fitting (true to size) and best looking jeans I've ever owned! Moreover, and dare I say, the BEST customer service I have ever had the pleasure doing business with in my life! I am a life long loyal fan now because of how great Tellason's Customer Service is and how much they care about their customers!
A simply perfect pair of denim. Great cut, Great build quality, great materials: great service.
The jeans are perfect for my taste, perfect fit, for my body ... 1.86 and 66 kg size 31, the fabric is really cool, I think they are my favorite jeans, I have not taken them off since I bought them. Thank you for your attention to quality.
Love these. Been wearing them hard and daily since I got them. Construction projects around the house to in the office, they are great.
Best jeans and better service. Worth the money
I've been searching for a great pair of raw denim for a couple years and have not found anything I've wanted enough to deal with the break in. Tellason's are just different. The company is fucking rad, customer service is top notch, and their products just scream quality. These pants definitely take some patience, as it took me nearly 2 weeks of daily wear, but they are now becoming soft(er) and more flexible. Buy yourself some Tellasons's, you deserve it.
