This is my second pair of the black blubaughs. Love the look, quality and fit. I will say the black ones fit a little tighter in the waist than the blue ones so I might suggest going up a waist size from the blue for a more comfortable fit out of the box.
Incredibly responsive team. They called me immediately when I sent them an email about my order being delayed, Pete was happy to help me out. The jeans are fantastic, love the fit and easily the nicest denim I’ve ever owned.
The Blubaugh were my second choice as the first jeans I chose were temporarily out of stock. Pete called to explain the problem and to run through some options. No generic email, an old school phone call. As many others have said Tellason customer care is on another level, rarely have I known such amazing customer care. Oh and the jeans are fantastic too, I’m very pleased my first choice weren’t available, top quality materials and couldn’t be put together better, best pair of straight cut black jeans I’ve owned. Perfect.
They're fine. Maybe a little less than fine. Fairly disappointing. I ordered a size that was too small at first, and then returned them for a larger size (the customer service is great. Very fast and responsive. That gets five stars). I have a bigger butt and thighs, and in the bigger size, the jeans fit well in those areas, but are much too big in the waist, so I need to get them taken in. So, be aware of that. This was my main reason for wanting to actually write a review, because if those areas are bigger for you as well, I would guess you'll have the same problem and the jeans won't fit great. Also, I ordered 34 length and they are several inches longer than that. I'll need to get them hemmed now. I did get them during the Labor Day 20 percent off, which is good since having them taken in and hemmed will cost me about what I initially saved. I'm sure the jeans will be good once I do those things, they're just not what I'd hoped.
This is my second pair of Tellason jeans I've purchased from the website (I have also purchased some old stock cone mills Mellors on clearance and a tellason stock jean jacket 2nd hand). I love all of them. This is my first pair of black denim jeans and the fit is great. They are a little more narrow in the thighs than the Mellors, but not too narrow and little wider at the ankles. This makes them great to be worn with boots. The size around the ankles is a little loose than I prefer when worn with flip flops or less substantial shoes, but look great when cuffed- so that's what I do. Thanks again for a quality product.
