Tapered leg, button-fly Chino. Made in San Francisco, Calif. USA of heavyweight (10 oz.) Japanese twill. Fit guide
These Chinos have been a key ingredient in our Tellason salad. Tony and I go back a long way with great memories of buying these up at some of the military supply vintage stores around the campus of SDSU in the early 80's. I remember my favorite shop was down this steep hill across the street from my barbershop (shout out Arnold's). The owners were fantastic and had a sewing machine in the back, along with a fired up kitchen that always seemed to be making a fresh batch of curry!
We would settle on a pair, then carefully instruct them to peg the hell out of them to the point where getting in and out had us pointing our toes straight down like some sort of plié move in ballet class.
Great memories, and I hope those lads down there still have the sense to keep those military surplus dreams going.
Enough about curry and pegging aspirations. Go Aztecs,

This is a great pair of chinos. Exactly was I was looking for and expecting. This is not the boring and plain fabric that you'll find at the mall. The fabric exudes quality and is robust at the same time, feeling super soft on your skin. Tony/Pete deliver best customer service. They changed the size I order (I order too small) for one bigger after leaving a comment about how other of their pants fit me, and they nailed it. Even though this is online shopping, the make your experience great and personal, which makes me feel very happy to support this company.
The fabric is amazing and worth the cost. The proportions are great. Like the button fly.
If you are a fan of Tellason, you might recognize the influence of old-school Army-Navy stores and the Tellason focus on crafting rugged, comfortable elegance similar to certain military clothing from back-in-the-day. For me and my friends in high-school in the late Seventies, those Army-Navy stores & similar thrift shops were gold-mines, located in previously gritty Pasadena & still sometimes gritty Burbank. These chinos carry that history, with an updated profile. They are perfect.
These are super comfortable and feel like they will prove more than durable over time. I prefer jeans so I am not wearing these as much but so far I am very happy.
High quality fabric and attention to detail in construction. But the fit is very baggy for a slim fit. I tried them on before getting them hemmed and I thought they would be OK, but after wearing them for a full day I felt very uncomfortable in them because they were so baggy. Too late to do anything about it now.
Good cotton pants are comfortable to wear and pleasant, quality and look premium
Fantastic pair of high-quality chinos! The fit feels close to their Elgin fit. Not too tight and not too baggy.
These are great. I love them so much I got a second pair. The material is great and they fit really well. My only suggestion is to offer them in different lengths.
Best chinos I've come across.
