A NOTE FROM PETE & TONY

Meet our Elgin 14.75 oz. mid-rise slim tapered jean. This fit was developed after listening to some informed and opinionated customers who dug our Ladbroke Grove low(er) rise tapered jean. Their request was simple and single minded - make the Ladbroke Grove longer in the rise.

One meeting with our pattern maker, Pam, and bippity boppity boop - the Elgin was born. Our factory whipped up a prototype and it was perfect. Nothing at all to change here. We jumped into production and carried on with our day. Nice when things go easy on you once in a while...

If you have our Ladbroke Grove, know this - the Elgin has a rise that is 1.5" longer and the rest of the dimensions are exactly the same and our 14.75 oz. fabric (like our 12.5 oz. and 16.5 oz. fabrics) are proprietary from Kiahara since 2019. This is something we are extremely proud of and understand that it takes many hands and a common goal to create something special.

Thanks for reading and cheers to you for keeping this little denim engine cooking!

    I like them

The look and feel of the denim is great. I got these jeans thinking they might make good motorcycle-riding jeans, and I was quite right. Something about the higher waist and the overall fit makes these considerably more comfortable on the bike than any of the other jeans I've owned. In addition, they are long enough to make it all the way to my boots when I am sitting (I'm 6'5"). If you like quality, made in the USA, and don't mind paying for it, then these won't disappoint.

    One wasn't enough!

I recently bought my first pair of Tellason jeans, the heavyweight Elgin. I'd been looking for a strong, durable selvedge pair of jeans that were well constructed and fit my 6'5" frame. After correspondence from Tony, I settled on the Elgin and am very satisfied with the pants. As a result I bought another pair of Elgin's this time in a lighter weight and am really happy with the pants. The fit is comfortable and the inseam long enough for me turn a good cuff, which doesn't happen with me too often. Great customer service and an excellent product made me a fan. I'm just hopeful that a black and/or Khaki Elgin is in the wings!

The way jeans are supposed to be made

Got a pair for Christmas. I had corresponded with Tellason making sure I got the style with the cut I was looking for. I wanted jeans that were not overly fitted with room in the crotch and a slight taper on the legs. The Elgin is exactly that. I got the 14.75 oz and it is the ideal weight for me. I like the fact that every aspect of them are made in the USA and that there is nothing flashy about them. The leather patch is a nice touch, the pockets are plenty deep and they are very comfortable. I will be buying another pair in the future.

    My Elgins

I love these jeans, the quality is fantastic. I've been wearing them for practically everyday for almost two months and they have broken-in beautifully. No fades yet, but I figured as much from a 14.75oz fabric. Also, after the break-in: Super comfy! However, if I were to do it all over again, I would size down. I typically wear a size 30, thats what I bought and they are fine, but they are a bit loose, nothing a belt won't fix; and hey: I'd rather them be loose than too tight. Overall, these jeans are great and will absolutely not be my last pair of Tellasons. Thanks to these Elgins, I am a customer for life! Keep up the great quality Tellason!
