Straight leg, button-fly Chino. Made in San Francisco, Calif. USA of heavyweight (10 oz.) Japanese twill. Fit guide
These Chinos have been a key ingredient in our Tellason salad. Tony and I go back a long way with great memories of buying these up at some of the military supply vintage stores around the campus of SDSU in the early 80's. I remember my favorite shop was down this steep hill across the street from my barbershop (shout out Arnold's). The owners were fantastic and had a sewing machine in the back, along with a fired up kitchen that always seemed to be making a fresh batch of curry!
We would settle on a pair, then carefully instruct them to peg the hell out of them to the point where getting in and out had us pointing our toes straight down like some sort of plié move in ballet class.
Great memories, and I hope those lads down there still have the sense to keep those military surplus dreams going.
Enough about curry and pegging aspirations. Go Aztecs,
Tony Patella

I've been a life-long buyer of JGM jeans. Life-long meaning ever since Tellason started making jeans, with only one model, before they started calling it JGM. For 9 years, my waist size has gone up and down slightly from 30 to 31 back to 30 to 29. The 29 inch JGM's fit great. I had never bought any other product from Tellason, but I thought the chinos would be good. I bought the 29, but they were way too tight compared to the 29 inch waist on the JGMs. I'm returning them and will order the 30 inch. However, the fabric feels good and solid. I hope they last and wear as long as the jeans!
Overall a very nice pair of khakis. I wish the material was a bit heavier, but I see this weight of fabric on a lot of khakis, so no complaints. The sizing is the same for me as the Ladbroke Grove, but the fit is entirely different of course. It's still too cold in MN to be wearing khakis daily, so I'll have to write back after a few dozen wearings. These will be a Spring/Summer staple.
This is my second pair of chinos and 5th pair of pants (3 pairs of jeans). I love your products. They always fit as advertised and are a true quality garment. I would say the only downfall of Tellason products is this; they are such high quality you’ll have a hard time wearing them out and truly needing another pair. I buy more because I love the product. Your customer service is also top notch.
I mainly wear heavy weight Tellason jeans. So for the summer opted to switch it up and look for light weight replacements and since the only pants I own are Tellason’s I bought the straight leg chinos. The fit and feel of these pants are amazing and the quality is what you would expect.
The fit, feal and weight are what I like.
These Chinos are cool! Simple, and sweet. After one wash and a hem shortening, I discovered that there was a further shrinkage after the second wash. Fortunately, the shrinkage at the hem line was between 2-4mm. The rest of the pants shrunk slightly at the waist also, but not to unusable or uncomfortable level. As we speak, I have ordered another pair of the same size and I will receive it on Monday from Tellason! My only gripe was that when my dog greeted me at the door on the first day I used these pants, he did cause a thread to break on the upper thigh area (real bummer). I had had the impression that the Carlisle fabric was tougher than the stuff used by Dockers and others.
These pants are the perfect alternate to your favorite Tellason jeans. They are comfortable, soft and crisp feeling and, most of all, look really good. I am hooked on these, just too bad the size I wanted for the tapered ones were unavailable at the time of purchase. Maybe they will be available when I try to get a pair next time.
Just simply an extremely high quality cloth, and super solid non-nonsense construction -- makes it all style and all substance. I hope these are restocked in my size, I'd get several more.
Great fabric, super solid construction, no nonsense - pretty much a perfect pair of chinos. Thanks Tellason!
